Today I woke up, the sun was shining and I felt grateful. I got up put my big coat on, grabbed the dog lead for Lucky and headed to the beach. I wanted to reflect. I looked out at the sea crashing against the shore and took some deep breaths, absorbing the fresh sea air.
There are so many things in life that are out of our control. Much like the tides, our lives flow sometimes calmly and sometimes like a rough storm but either way life flows without effort from us. Whether we like it or not!
One thing we can control in life is our intention, our attitude to what flows our way and our perception of our own life’s rhythm.
This morning my intention was that of immense gratitude for the simple things. Gratitude for my health, my breath, my level of awareness and my willingness to learn.
Today I have made a commitment to myself to ride those waves, however turbulent, but to do so with a sense of inner peace and acceptance for where the flow of the tides will take me. To sit back, observe, feel and then act.
With love and gratitude,
